Thank You Card

Today, I thought it would be fun to try a sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.
I love the design of this and was excited to give it a try.

I used my favorite color combination of pink and brown, a thank you stamp from TPC Studio, and a handmade flower with a pretty gem to top it off. I loved this sketch and will definitely be making more of these.  I now have one more thank you card to add to my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Masculine Shirt Card

Today I would like to share with you a masculine card made to look like a shirt. A triangle collar, a cute little pocket that could hold a gift card, some stitching, and buttons.  VoilĂ !  A handsome looking card for that special man in your life.

Wood burned Necklaces

Good afternoon,
Here are a couple of wood burned necklaces that my son and I made.  It is such a joy to be able to share a love for this form of art with him.

Birthday Card

This embossed birthday card was so quick and easy to make.  It is a cheerful looking card using sparkly Washi tape, punched flowers, and clear gems.

Best Friends Card

When you think of best friends, someone special always comes to mind.  Here is a "Best Friend" card I made using two flowers to indicate that special friendship.

Wedding Card

Who doesn't love a wedding?  My oldest son is getting married in 2 months, and our whole household is so excited that we will soon be getting another sister/daughter!  Love is in the air.  Here is a "Wedding" card made from two hearts and was truly fun to make with some dry embossing and embellishments.

Best Wishes Butterfly Card

I love pyrography (a fancy word for woodburning). My son got me started on woodburning last year, and I was hooked. One thing I love to do is mix woodburning with card making. The results are beautiful. Below you will find the same "Best Wishes" card as in the previous post but this time with a wood burned butterfly. So much fun!

Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone!

This is my very first post on my new True Joy Studio blog.  We find "True Joy" doing the things we love. We love to create! Here you will find handmade cards, tags, favors, bows, jewelry, woodburnings, and many other venues of art our family has created. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Hopefully in the next few weeks I can get some more content on here....pics of our work, stuff like that. For now I'm uploading a photo of this little Best Wishes card I made.  Thanks for stopping by!
