Flower Embellishments

These pretty flowers are now available in my etsy shop! They are made with a flower punch, cardstock, old book page, small flower, and a button. So cute to use in scrapbooks or cardmaking.

Apple Salsa With Cinnamon Chips

I served this unique salsa while dinner was cooking. It was a huge hit!
SALSA:
1 large apple, cored and chopped
1/2 cup chopped strawberries
1 handful of blueberries, halved
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple jelly, melted
CHIPS:
4 flour tortillas
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

In a bowl combine apples, strawberries, and blueberries. Stir in brown sugar and jelly.
For chips, brush tortillas lightly with melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over tortillas. Cut each tortilla into 8 wedges. Place in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 6 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Serve with the salsa.

Here is a card I made using a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I love using browns and blues together. Such a fun card to make.



 

Bunny Cake

My daughter enjoyed making this cute bunny cake!

She started with two round cakes.

Next, I cut two ears from one of the cakes leaving a bowtie.

She then iced it all with white icing and began decorating with pink.

She used candy for the eyes and Twizlers for the whiskers and mouth. Of course she had to use some sprinkles on the bowtie!

She was so happy with her little bunny!
